I'm a firm believer in the saying "Everything happens for a reason" and every event in my life has led me to where I am in my photography career today. I'm thankful to be surrounded by amazing people who inspire and give me the freedom to be creative with my talents. It's an amazing feeling to know the infinite possibilities one can do with a tool like a camera and imagination! With that said, I want to share with you a culmination of photography that I've amassed over the years. Just open your heart, mind, soul and enjoy! Peace and Blessings!
"A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words." ~Ansel Adams
I'm Los Angeles based photographer but I might be close to you! I'll be traveling from Southern California, Mexico, Northern California, Washington, Oregon and Hawaiian Islands for the year 2010. If your interested in booking a photo session or have any questions, click the contact button above!
As a digital photographer, it’s a given that we spend massive amounts of time behind a computer screen. It’s just my thing to be in nature as much as possible. I couldn’t avoid it since I was born in hawaii, your always surround by mother nature. Im just glad to have found a balance between screen time and outdoor adventures. Photos mounted on a wall near you…
It rained on this day but it didn’t phase anyone. In fact from what I heard, its goodluck when it rains on your wedding day. Did I also mention that I love ice cream? I think carissa and mike knew that already and setup a whole table of ice cream goods just for me! The last photo of this set reminds me of Alice in wonderland dinner party! Here are some shots I snapped alongside with Frank Amodo and Pacific Aisles.
Carissa - It was our wonderland too! I've had so much fun looking through your's and Frank's photos. I told Frank the photo of you reacting to the ice cream sundae bar might be my favorite out of all of them :P
Ahhh...memories...February 26, 2010 - 4:03 am

I bet you didnt know that I used to make tons of videos before I was into photography. Me and my cousin created hilarious videos with a vhs camcorder that sits on your shoulder. We would chop up movies and add our clips using 2 vcr’s to edit our mini movies. No one will ever get a chance to see those again. haha. Over the years I never took it seriously and then I got serious with photography in high school. Fast forward to the present day of HDDSLR’s and I have a new found love for motion pictures. Im baaaack!
leslie & matt - AMAZAZING! Thank you Alex for taking these photo's of us. From the park to the trails and the excursion to the top - It was definitely fun times! My favorite part was you pushing me and Matt on the swings! Thank you so so so so oh so much! Love you!!!March 31, 2010 - 1:05 am
My business partner/longtime friend John Williams and I have started a company called “Encompass Los Angeles” 2 years ago. We have the ability to produce a full professional media package ranging from Photography, Art Direction, Lookbook/Web design and Advertising. Here is a preview of what’s to come for our new online 2010/11 portfolio that we’ll be launching this year.
I was scared that I was gonna get sea sick! We were on the Dandeana Yacht for 5 hours of Fantasea Yachts. I was ok! A good friend bought me some pressure point bracelets and it did its job! This wedding was really amazing, why? Because of the deep connection the family has with each other is quite amazing. The rituals, textures, details and emotions etc etc. Ill just let the photo speak for themselves.
thang truong - absolutely beautiful...February 3, 2010 - 6:48 am

alexrapada - Don't be lazy and always learn new things about photography. Take a community college photo class to learn everything technical about photography and once you know your camera like the back of your hand, its really up to you and your creativity to capture awesome images!August 3, 2010 - 3:22 am
These two are amazing artists in their own medium and own a tattoo shop called The Dolorosa Art Company They asked me to shoot their wedding on the carnival cruise docking out of long beach harbor. I’ve never been on a cruise ship! I can’t wait to do it again.
This would have to be one of the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever witnessed on the north shore of oahu. We shot the couple at the most perfect time on the reef shore at Turtle Bay Resort.
Jeremy - This set of images is awesome! Keep up the greatness!November 23, 2009 - 12:49 pm

We docked at ensenada port of mexico off our carnival cruise ship and roamed around to shoot for a good 2 hours! I would say it was an adventure despite the fact we were taken to a hill on bus away fro the tourists and were expected to catch the bus back.. It was sketchy but we ended up safely back on the boat!
Here is the Spring 2010 Line I shot for Level99. The outcome is amazing and I’m truly blessed to work alongside with friends who have amazing talents Click Here to see more photos!
